Last Sunday’s service was certainly a blessing to me, and I pray it was for you as well. To hear testimonies of all that God has done for and through the church in years past, served to remind me that He is still working through His people today. Though there were times that were hard for the church God was always there. When finances were almost nonexistent, and people were few God provided. Today I see the benefit of those before me never giving up. They trusted God and He never did forsake them.

Many places in scripture remind me that I am to remember the times and trials God brings me through. My testimony can then encourage others who come behind.

1 Chronicles 16:12 says, “Remember his marvellous works that he hath done, his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth.”

Psalm 77:11. “I will remember the works of the LORD: surely I will remember thy wonders of old.”

Then in Psalm 9:10 I find these words. “And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee: for thou, LORD, hast not forsaken them that seek thee.”

There are many other scriptures that encourage me to remember and tell what God has done. My words of witness can bring encouragement to others and will always be praise to God.

It’s a blessing to know the God I love and serve has not, and will not, forsake me as I trust in Him.
