Hallelujah! He is Risen! Jesus is Alive!

Once again we have come to the day of Easter Sunday; a day set aside to worship and proclaim that Jesus is indeed risen from the grave and is alive forevermore!

Jesus was born a King. When Jesus was born in Bethlehem wise men searched for Him. Matthew 2:2 records this. “Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him.”

John 19:19 tells me that Jesus died a King. “And Pilate wrote a title, and put it on the cross. And the writing was, JESUS OF NAZARETH THE KING OF THE JEWS.”

Matthew 28:6 records the statement of the angel to the women at Jesus’ grave the morning following His crucifixion. “He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.” Jesus arose King of Kings and Lord of Lords, victorious over death, hell and the grave.

Revelation 19:16 speaks of the returning King. “And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.”

Jesus was born a King, died a King, arose a King, and will return a King.

Hebrews 13:8 says, “Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.”

This is the Jesus that I love and worship; the same Jesus whose blood washed my sins away many years ago. He saved my soul, wrote my name in the Lambs Book of Life, and promised to return for me.

It’s all written in God’s Holy Word. Read John 20:31. “But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.”

What a blessing that I can know this King Jesus, celebrate His resurrection, and await His coming return.
